The apex court dismissed all the petitions filed against the cancellation of the CBSE Plus 2 exams and against the method of score calculation.
The Central Government has announced that the CBSE Class 12 general examination will be canceled this year due to the Corona epidemic. A 12-member panel was then set up to study how the CBSE Class 12 results could be determined.
Accordingly, it was informed that the total marks will be calculated by taking 40% marks from the examinations held in Class 12 and 30% marks each from the examinations held in Class 10 and 11. Similarly, individual candidates and students who feel that their marks are not sufficient will be given the opportunity to re-write the general examination. The CBSE said the polls would take place after the Corona environment improves. The system was approved by the Supreme Court on the 17th.
Subsequently, various Boards of Education and CBSE students and parents filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the cancellation of the public examination and claiming that the score calculation system was unacceptable. The petitions came up for hearing today in a session of Justices AM Kanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari.
According to the judges, the CBSE has decided to cancel the exams after taking advice from various quarters. So we do not want to interfere in it. Boards, including CBSE, can follow the score calculation system. As well as dismissing all the petitions filed against the CBSE General Examination and Score Calculation System.
