Karnataka High Court orders filing of report on Sasikala case within two months ...!


The Karnataka High Court has ordered that a report be filed within two months in the case against Sasikala for allegedly bribing prison officials to the tune of Rs 2 crore.

Sasikala was lodged in a Karnataka jail on a charge of amassing wealth in excess of income.

Rupa had accused the then jail authorities of accepting a bribe of Rs 2 crore to provide luxury facilities while Sasikala was in jail.

As these allegations are true, the retired senior IAS officer who conducted the investigation said. The committee headed by Vinay Kumar had submitted a report to the government.

At the same time, the report was not filed in the case registered by the Anti-Corruption Department.

 Geetha, a social activist from Alwarpet, Chennai, has filed a welfare case in the Karnataka High Court in this regard.

Chief Justice A.S. The session, chaired by Oka, ordered anti-corruption officials to complete the investigation and file a final report in court within 2 months.
