
Ambotericin-B, a drug required for the treatment of black fungal infections, has been exempted from GST and taxes on ambulances, sanitizers, temperature control equipment and remtacivir have been reduced.
The 44th meeting of the GST Council was held via video conferencing. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Associate Minister Anurag Thakur and state finance ministers were present at the meeting.

GST on amphotericin-B is waived. Most items required for Govt treatment are exempt from GST.
GST on ambulances ranges from 28% to 12%, GST on medical oxygen, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, ventilator masks, cov- tial test kits, pulse oximeters, temperature testing kits from 12% to 5% on GST on sanitizer. Is reduced to 5%. GST on vaccine will remain at 5 per cent.
GST rates on drugs, oxygen production equipment and test equipment are classified into 4 categories. Their details will be announced soon. Thus he said.
