Accordingly, a consultative meeting was held at Sarat Pawar's house today. The meeting was attended by Aam Aadmi Party, Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and Left parties.
The meeting discussed the formation of a strong alliance at the national level against the BJP. Consultations were held on who would be the prime ministerial candidate on behalf of the opposition in the parliamentary elections.
Next year U.P. U.P. also spoke about forming a coalition of opposition parties ahead of the legislative elections. Preliminary consultations have also taken place on a strategy to defeat the BJP in the elections. But parties including Bahujan Samaj and Congress did not participate in the meeting.
