Repeal of Section 370 for granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir .... We will not accept ...!

The leaders of the Kupkar coalition have jointly declared that they will never accept the abrogation of Article 370 of the Grant of Special Status to Jammu and Kashmir.

An advisory meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24th to conduct the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. It was told that the issue of giving statehood to Kashmir again can be discussed in the meeting. But it was later reported that the block would be redefined.

Several leaders including Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah have been invited to attend the meeting. The question arose whether Mehbooba would attend.

Kupkar team leaders Mehbooba, Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah discussed the issue today. It was then decided to accept Prime Minister Modi's invitation to attend the all-party meeting.

After this both of them held a joint press conference. Then he said:

“We can never accept abrogation of Article 370 of the Special Status Act for Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. There is no compromise on this. We will explain this clearly to the central government. Our aim is to recover the lost power of the state of Kashmir. '' He said.

Speaking later, Mehbooba Mufti said, "The government is in talks with Taliban to bring peace in the world. So can't we talk on Kashmir issue? Pakistan's proposal can be resolved only through talks with that country. There's no change in that."
