TNPL T20 tournament starts today ...!

The 5th season of Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) T20 cricket matches starts today. The match did not take place last year due to the Corona threat. This year all the matches will be played in Chennai. The final takes place on August 15.

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TCA) is organizing T20 cricket tournaments (TNPL) to further promote cricket among the youth and to promote cricket in the districts. Sep Soup Gillies, Dindigul Dragons, Nellai Royal Kings, Leica Coimbatore Kings, Salem Sportans, Madurai Panthers, Ruby Trichy Warriors, Idreams Thiruppoo Tamils are the 8 teams that are playing.

Current champions Sepp்l Soup are expected to play diligently to retain the Gillies team title. Meanwhile, second-placed Dindigul Dragons captain Aswin faces England in the match. The newly formed teams including Nellai Royal Kings, Leica Coimbatore Kings, Madurai Panthers and Salem Sportans are also eager to win the trophy.

Trichy Warriors and Tiruppo Tamils have not been able to beat the previous seasons and have the strength to bring down strong teams in unexpected times.

Murali Vijay, who was part of the Trichy team, did not play this year for personal reasons. Another Trichy player Anirudha Srikanth also missed the match this year
