Two members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba group were killed in the attack by police and security forces.
Police and security forces have confirmed the whereabouts of two militants during a raid last night (Sunday), according to intelligence that members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba were involved in a series of attacks in the Sadiq Khan area of south Kashmir. The militants continued their attack on the security forces after learning of the siege. A few minutes later an attack between the two sides finally killed both militants.
One of the dead was Abu Akram, a key commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, who had been active since 2017, police said. Police said the two who were shot were involved in attacks on civilians and security forces in Kashmir over the past few years and some of them were killed.
Also, AK rifles and some newspapers were seized from the room where they were hiding.
