Petrol and diesel price hike during Congress rule ... BJP Minister Namachchivayam talks ..!

Puducherry Minister Namachchivayam has said that petrol and diesel price hikes have been done during the Congress regime.

The BJP's Karaikal district executive committee meeting was held today (July 10) in Karaikal. The party's district leader J. Durai Senadhipathi presided. Puducherry State BJP leader V Saminathan, Puducherry Minister A. Namachchivayam and Member of the Legislative Assembly Ashok Babu were the special invitees.

State Vice Presidents M. Arulmurugan, Nalini Ganeshbabu, former MLA VK Ganapathi and many other executives and volunteers were present.

Namasivayam later told reporters, “It has been decided that BJP ministers and MLAs will visit Karaikal once a month to focus on Karaikal district development and party work. I asked the Collector what development projects are going on in Karaikal. He has also been given advice on the tasks to be undertaken.

A departmental consultation meeting will be held soon in Karaikal. We have requested the Chief Minister to open ration shops in Pondicherry and thereby implement the Central Government's Kareeb Kalyan Yojana. The Puducherry Chief Minister has written a letter to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to resolve the issue of Tamil Nadu government buses not stopping in the Puducherry region.

Petrol and diesel price hikes have also taken place during the Congress regime. Pricing is done for unavoidable reasons. It should also be realized that fuel prices have been controlled many times under the BJP regime. The government will take action to reduce prices. The party's national leadership will decide on the next state assembly member in Pondicherry.

The Chief Minister will soon announce the portfolios for the Puducherry Ministers. The BJP is not forcing anyone to listen to specific departments. It is customary for the respective parties to ask for their representation in a coalition government. The only objective of the BJP is to develop the state of Pondicherry and we will work together for that.
