The Kolkata High Court on Thursday said that the Narada bribery case will be heard on August 16.
The CBI on May 17 arrested four state ministers Subrata Mukherjee, Fohat Hakeem, Trinamool MLA Madan Mitra and former Maya Sovan Chatterjee in connection with the Narada bribery case. They were later granted interim bail.
When the CBI arrested four people, including state ministries, in connection with the Narada bribery scandal, the CBI alleged that Trinamool Congress leaders, including Mamata, had prevented them from working.
The West Bengal government, Mamata Banerjee and state law minister Malay Kadak had filed a reply in the Kolkata High Court. The Kolkata Magistrate's Court refused to accept the petition.
They subsequently filed a petition in the Supreme Court. At the time, the West Bengal government had quashed the order of the Kolkata Magistrate's Court refusing to accept the reply petition of Mamata Banerjee and Malay Kadak.
The Kolkata High Court has said that Narada's case will be heard on August 16.
