A further 2,405 people in Tamil Nadu have been diagnosed with corona infection today.

According to a press release issued by the state health department, 1,46,665 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. Of those, 2,405 were newly diagnosed.

The maximum affected areas are 256 in Coimbatore, 159 in Erode, 163 in Thanjavur, 155 in Salem and 148 in Chennai.

As a result, the number of corona victims in the state has increased to 25,28,806 so far. Meanwhile, 3,006 people have recovered from the disease and returned home today.

As a result, the number of coroners in the state so far has crossed 24.65 lakh. According to the Department of Public Welfare, there are currently 29,950 people under medical supervision in hospitals and homes.

On the other hand, the death toll from the disease has risen to 33,606 across the state so far following a further 49 deaths due to corona infection in Tamil Nadu.
