French competition regulator fines Google $ 50 million...


Popular search engine Google has been fined 50 million (approximately Rs 4,400 crore) by France's competition regulatory body.

The French Competition Regulatory Commission has been investigating the use of Google in their search websites for news published by the French media.

At the end of the trial, Google was fined கோடி 50 million. In addition, the regulatory body has ordered Google to release a two-month action plan on how it will compensate news organizations.

Failure to do so could result in a fine of 9 lakh euros (approximately Rs. 79 crore) per day, the organization warned.
