The Chennai Meteorological Department said on Monday that there is a possibility of heavy rain in a few districts in Tamil Nadu for the next 4 days.

According to the Meteorological Department,

Heavy rains will continue in Tamil Nadu due to southwest monsoon. Districts including Nilgiris and Coimbatore are likely to receive heavy rains with thunder and lightning till July 23.

Districts including Theni, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri are likely to receive moderate rainfall.

Fishermen have been warned not to go fishing in the southern Bay of Bengal, central Bay of Bengal, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep as strong winds are expected till July 23.
