Southwest monsoon likely to improve in Tamil Nadu too ...

 

The southwest monsoon has also improved in Tamil Nadu. According to the Chennai Meteorological Department, this is likely to improve in all the districts of Tamil Nadu.

Chennai Meteorological Center announced today:

'The only convection is due to the drought prevailing along the southern coast of Tamil Nadu (1.5 km altitude) due to the Kumarik Sea and Sri Lanka (3.1 to 4.5 km high) and the atmospheric circulation prevailing from Karnataka to South Tamil Nadu (up to 1 km).

Heavy rain with thundershowers at one or two places in Delta, Pudukottai and Sivagangai districts on June 4. Moderate to heavy rain is possible.

On June 5, there will be thundershowers at one or two places in the inner districts of Tamil Nadu and moderate thundershowers at a few places in other districts.

On June 6, there will be light to moderate rain in one or two places along the Western Ghats, coastal districts and Puduvai and Karaikal areas and light rain in the inner districts.

On June 7 and 8, districts along the Western Ghats will receive moderate to thundershowers at one or two places in the inner districts and light to moderate showers in the coastal districts and Puduvai and Karaikal.

For Chennai, the sky will be partly cloudy for the next 48 hours. Moderate to heavy rain with thunder in some parts of the city. The maximum temperature is 36 and the minimum temperature is 28 degrees Celsius.

Siddaru (Kanyakumari) 14 cm, Sivalokam (Kanyakumari) 12 cm, Pechipparai (Kanyakumari) 11 cm, Perunchani (Kanyakumari) 10 cm, Marandahalli (Dharmapuri) 9 cm, Nilakkottai (Dindigul), Usilampatti (Madurai) 7 cm each, Kariyapatti (Virudhunagar), Namakkal 6 cm each, Valparai (Coimbatore) 5 cm, Kangayam (Tiruppur) 4 cm, Tuvakkudi (Trichy) Omalur (Salem) Hosur (Krishnagiri) Sankarapuram (Kallakurichi) 3 cm each.

Warning for fishermen

On June 4 and June 5, strong winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph are expected in the Kumari Sea and the Gulf of Mannar. Fishermen are advised not to visit these areas on the above dates.

On June 4 and June 5, hurricane force winds of 40 to 50 kmph are expected in Kerala and coastal areas, Lakshadweep.

Fishermen are advised not to travel to the above areas on the above dates from June 4 to June 8 due to strong winds in the Southwest Sea (winds of 40 to 50 kmph).

Note: The southwest monsoon has improved in most districts of Tamil Nadu today. There is a chance of progress in all the districts of Tamil Nadu in the next 24 hours'.
