Wickramarajah said the government is considering opening vegetable and grocery stores in Tamil Nadu from the 7th.

In Tamil Nadu, a complete curfew was declared from May 24 to 31 as the intensity of the corona did not subside. Later, the full curfew was extended from May 31 to June 7 in Tamil Nadu as the incidence of corona began to decline. In this context, after consultation with the General Secretary at the General Secretariat in Chennai, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Wickramarajah, met the press. He said the government was considering allowing shops to open in Corona-less districts as the curfew ends on the morning of the 7th.

Permission was granted to open shops from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thus, he said he had made a request to the chief secretary to increase the number of hours from 6 am to 10 am a few more hours if the shops were open this time. He said an announcement would be made soon on the implementation of the curfew with the next phase being relaxed as the curfew ends on the 7th.
