The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast light showers for two days in Chennai and Tiruvallur districts.

According to a press release issued by the Chennai Meteorological Department, the low pressure area along the North Bengal Sea, adjoining Odisha and the West Bengal coast is likely to intensify into a deep depression in the next 24 hours and move west-northwest over Odisha.

Due to this, dry weather will prevail in most parts of Tamil Nadu today and tomorrow, with light to moderate rain in one of the districts along the Western Ghats and in one or two inner districts and generally cloudy in the northern coastal districts. Light showers are also expected in Chennai and Tiruvallur districts.
