Minister Senthil Balaji has been ordered to appear in person on July 15 in the ongoing case of fraud in procuring jobs in the transport sector.
Senthil Balaji, the current Minister of Power, was the Minister of Transport in the AIADMK government from 2011-2016.
At that time, Sunesh Kumar and Devasakayam from Chennai, Ambattur, Chennai, lodged a complaint with the Chennai Central Crime Branch Police against four persons, including Senthil Balaji, for allegedly defrauding 81 people of 1.62 crore by claiming to be employed. Senthil Balaji, Annaraj, Prabhu and Sakayaraj were prosecuted.
The case was registered with the MP at the Chennai District Collector's Office. - Special Court for MLAs is underway. Meanwhile, two more cases of fraud have been registered against 47 people, including Minister Senthil Balaji, in the Chennai Special Court by the Central Crime Branch police.
In this case, Senthil Balaji had already been summoned to appear before the court in connection with the issuance of the criminal press.
