Sasikala as AIADMK general secretary, Resolution ... Edappadi Palanisamy in shock

With the resolution against Sasikala being passed in various districts in Tamil Nadu, the decision to have Sasikala as AIADMK general secretary at the AIADMK consultative meeting in Vilathikulam has caused a stir in political circles.

Sasikala, who announced his withdrawal from politics ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, is currently talking to AIADMK volunteers daily. The telephone conversations he has with AIADMK volunteers have been leaked daily and have shaken the political arena. Even though those who spoke to Sasikala continued to be expelled from the party, the AIADMK did not take it seriously. At the same time resolutions against Sasikala are being passed in many places.

In this context, a meeting of AIADMK executives and volunteers of the Thoothukudi North district was held at Vilathikulam yesterday. AIADMK District Jayalalithaa Council was headed by Joint Secretary Rupam Velavan. M.G.R. Youth Union Secretary Ramasamy Pandian and Jayalalithaa Assembly City Secretary Bonraj Pandian were in the forefront.

 Sasikala should continue as AIADMK general secretary at the meeting. The meeting vehemently condemned all the resolutions passed against General Secretary Sasikala by party volunteers in some districts who had gathered only a few people against their wishes without the approval of the branch city councilors. Former ministers Natham Viswanathan, Jayakumar, CV Shanmugam and KP Munuswamy have condemned Sasikala for speaking out against him.

Moreover, the crowd vehemently condemns the dictatorial removal of AIADMK members who have been talking to Sasikala over the phone with the intention of working with AIADMK unity and strength. At this meeting, we urge the AIADMK to hold a meeting of district level executives in Sasikala and meet the volunteers to strengthen the party that is the AIADMK. The corporation must work together. Eleven important resolutions were passed, including that the meeting welcomes the arrival of Sasikala, who will make a meeting trip to the volunteers with the aim of gathering everyone in Orani, forgetting their differences. While the resolution against Sasikala is being passed, the AIADMK has passed a resolution in his favor which has come as a shock to Edappadi Palanisamy.
