In a car collision, 3 members of the same family died.... In another accident, a car carrying 7 people suddenly caught fire....


Three members of the same family were tragically killed when their car collided with a lorry near Ambur. One person has been admitted to hospital with anxiety. Similarly, in another accident the car suddenly caught fire and 7 people traveling in the car fortunately survived.

The police said:

Chandramelali (55) hails from Nanganallur, Chennai. His wife Vasundhara Devi (47). Their son is Venugopal (26). His engagement ceremony was held yesterday in Hosur, Krishnagiri district. For this, Chandramelali left for Krishnagiri by car with his wife and son. On the way, Chandramelali went to Krishnagiri with her fianc Venugopal's grandfather Kannaiya (94) from Ranipettai and left for Chennai by car after completing her engagement at the girl's house. Groom Venugopal drove the car. Grandfather Kannayya was sitting in the front seat and Chandramelali and Vasundhara Devi were sitting in the back seat.

The car collided head-on with the lorry when it was trying to overtake the lorry that had gone ahead at 10.35 pm at Chengilikuppam next to Ambur, Tirupati district. In which, the car crashed. Four people were trapped in the wreckage of the car.

On seeing the accident, passers-by rushed to the scene and rescued those trapped in the rubble. Upon learning of the accident, the Ambur Rural Police arrived at the scene and expedited the rescue operation.

Groom Venugopal and his grandfather Kannaiya died tragically on the spot in the accident. Vasundhara Devi and her husband Chandramelali were critically injured. They were immediately rushed to Ambur Government Hospital. Vasundhara Devi also died there without any treatment. Following this, the death toll rose to 3.

Chandramelali, who was admitted to the intensive care unit, has been admitted to the Vellore Adukkampara Government Hospital for further treatment. The Ambur Rural Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

Thus, the police said.


Another accident:

Ashraful (46) hails from 3rd Cross Street, SRK Garden, Bangalore, Karnataka. He went with his family to a relative's house in Guduvancheri, Chennai yesterday morning. Then, he left Chennai at 6.30 pm and returned to Bangalore. The car was driven by Ashrafulla.

When the car arrived at 10.50 pm near Madhanur Devikapuram next to Ambur, Tirupati district, smoke came from the car’s engine. Seeing this, Ashrafulla parked the car on the national highway and knocked down 7 people including 2 men, 3 women and 2 children in the car.
 
The car caught fire on the National Highway in the Devikapuram area next to Ambur.

Then the car suddenly caught fire and started burning. Immediately, the Ambur village police and fire department were notified. The car was completely burned and damaged before firefighters arrived. When the smoke came from the car, Ashrafulla noticed it and immediately lowered everyone down and 7 people fortunately survived unscathed. The Ambur village police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. One hour of traffic in the area was affected by these 2 accidents which took place successively on the Ambur National Highway.
