Omandurar should stop changing the government hospital .... O. Panneerselvam appeals to the first ...!

AIADMK co-ordinator O. Panneerselvam has urged the Omandurargovernment to immediately abandon the transfer of the multi-purpose hospital.

In her statement, Jayalalithaa devised and implemented a number of health and welfare programs to achieve the goal of hygiene for all, in line with Thiruvalluvar's promise to diagnose the disease, find out the cause and then treat the disease, and cure the disease.

In that regard, she said, “Jayalalithaa has set up a multi-departmental specialty hospital with facilities similar to the AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi at the Omandurar Government Estate on the Anna Road in the heart of the city of Chennai, with the facility to provide free high quality treatment for various ailments to people from all walks of life in Tamil Nadu, especially the poor.

With Jayalalithaa taking over as Chief Minister in 2011, the building in Omandurar is not suitable for office and all the departments in the General Secretariat, as the building is not suitable for office use and the General Secretariat cannot function from two separate buildings. Leaving the way to continue to operate at Fort St. George, they built the Interdisciplinary High Specialty Hospital and the Government Medical College on the site. This is a decision taken in the interest of the people. Through this, hundreds of students join this medical college every year to study medicine and become the best doctors in this country.

Not only this, thousands of poor people are being treated and cured in various departments here.

During the Corona period thousands of poor ordinary people were admitted to this hospital and returned home cured after receiving treatment. The hospital has received the unanimous support, praise and welcome of all. In this context, the First Minister announced that a multi-purpose hospital would be set up at a cost of Rs. 250 crore at the laboratory premises in Kindi and the Omandurar Government Multipurpose Hospital would be shifted to Kindi after the Minister of Public Welfare inspected it.

There are also reports that the building will be rebuilt as a legislature or legislature.

This is very sad. Doubts have arisen in everyone's minds as to whether such a move is due to political turmoil. We welcome the creation of a new multi-purpose hospital on the Kindi King campus for the superintendent.

At the same time it is not acceptable that the Omandurar Government Multipurpose Hospital, which is functioning well with all the infrastructure facilities, will be shifted from there to the King Hospital premises. Therefore, I request the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to immediately intervene and if the news that the Omandurar Government Multipurpose Hospital will be shifted from there is true, it should be dropped immediately, ”he said.
