Chief Minister Eduyurappa, who has spoken openly for the first time in the last few weeks about a change of leadership in the Karnataka government, has said, "I will resign if the Delhi leadership asks."
In Karnataka, the BJP, led by Eduyurappa, is in power. For the past few weeks, state executives have been pressuring the Delhi leadership to remove Eduyurappa from the post of chief minister. Govt is openly critical of Eduardo in matters dealing with the epidemic. His own party MLAs are also accusing him of corruption. Thus great confusion continues in the state of Karnataka.
Recently, Tourism Minister CP Yogeshwara and Hubli West MLA, Arvind, went to Delhi and lodged a complaint with the leadership against Eduyurappa. He is thought to have survived an earlier attempt to oust him following Mr Jiang's intervention. But state BJP leader Nalin Kumar and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prakalat Joshi said Eduyurappa would complete his term in office.
I work beyond strength!
This is the first time Eduardo has openly commented on this. Speaking to reporters, he said, “As long as the Delhi high leadership has faith in me, I will continue as chief minister. When the day comes when they say I don’t need to, I will resign and work day and night for the development of the state. They have given me a chance. I try to use that opportunity to the best of my ability. I leave the rest to the top leadership of the party. I would not say there are no alternative leaders. Alternative leaders are also in the state. He said.
