The Central Government has initiated disciplinary action against Alban Bandopadhyay, former Chief Secretary of West Bengal.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has boycotted the recent meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in West Bengal to observe the effects of the cyclone. He was accompanied by state chief secretary Alban Bandyopadhyay. This caused a big controversy.
After this, the central government ordered Bandopadhyay to return to work.
However, he retired and was appointed as Special Advisor to the Chief Minister of West Bengal. Meanwhile, the Central Government has initiated disciplinary action against him.
A notice has been sent to him in this regard.
They have been ordered to respond within the next 30 days. It is being said that a heavy fine is being imposed on him.
