Delta type corona infection affects 70% of people in Tamil Nadu....!


Alpha virus was detected during the first wave of corona in India. During the second wave, the virus began to spread, turning itself into a perpetrator of violence. The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified the corona virus as a delta corona virus that caused major damage during the second wave in India.

Following this, the Tamil Nadu health department decided to conduct a study on the new virus and collected samples of 1,159 people who were vaccinated and sent to the Bangalore genetic laboratory in Karnataka. Results of 554 samples have been released. Accordingly, delta type corona infection was detected in 386 people (70 percent). Most of them are children, young and old.

47 people have got alpha type corona infection. Delta-type corona infection has been reported in 30 percent of victims who attended the same area or event, and 20 percent of victims who are family members.

When asked about this, Director of Public Health Selvavinayak said, 'This virus is constantly evolving to keep itself alive. Vaccination, whether delta-type or any other new type, can protect us from 90 per cent loss,” he said.

In this regard, Health Secretary J. Radhakrishnan said, “A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of retired IAS officer Puranalingam to study delta, delta plus type. The team is ready to study the nature of the virus and its effects.
