5.25 lakh worth of 'Addiction drugs' imported from abroad were confiscated by the customs officials at the Chennai airport.

Suspected airport customs officials checked the parcels sent to the Chennai airport post office from the Netherlands and France on Wednesday.

It was then revealed that it contained 105 expensive 'Addiction drugs' worth Rs 5.25 lakh. They were also confiscated by customs officials who confirmed that the address mentioned on the parcel was fake.

Authorities are investigating.
