Chief Minister MK Stalin is consulting with officials today on granting some more relaxation in the curfew from next Monday.
The curfew is being gradually relaxed in Tamil Nadu as the effects of Corona 2nd wave have begun to subside. Accordingly the first relaxations have been given since the 7th of last month.
All but 11 districts, including Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode and Salem, have returned to normal. Meanwhile, the curfew, which is currently in effect, will end at 6 am on Monday.
Thus Chief Minister MK Stalin will hold a consultation at 11.30 am today on granting new relaxations and corona control work. It is expected that key decisions on operating buses in the 11 districts where buses are not operating will be taken at this consultation meeting.
Meanwhile, the e-pass will be extended to tourist destinations like Courtallam, Kodaikanal, Ooty and Yercaud to prevent congestion.
The consultative meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Stalin and will be attended by Minister Ma Subramaniam, Chief Secretary Irayanpu, Health Secretary Radhakrishnan and DGP Silenthrababu.
