Of the 330 acres of land owned by the Srirangam Aranganathar temple, only 24 acres are currently in the possession of the temple, said Sekarbabu, the minister of Hindu temples.

Minister Sekarbabu inspected the Srirangam Aranganathar temple on Saturday morning.

He told reporters at the time that during the last 10 years of his rule, the temples under the control of the Hindu Temples Department had not been rebuilt and Kumbabhishekam had not been held.

Efforts are being made to locate and renovate such temples in the near future. We are engaged in the renovation work of the temple.

Hundreds of cows are being maintained at Trichy Srirangam Kosala. Due to the lack of space due to the large number of cows donated by the devotees, work is underway to select a place to set up another cowshed near the temple premises.

The temple, which is under the control of the Department of Hindu Religious Affairs, is taking steps to make permanent the staff who have been working at various levels for more than 5 years.

Temple officials have been coming up with various comments and criticisms on social media regarding the temple renovations. Even after fixing it, no one shares the information about it. Strict action will be taken against those involved in idol smuggling.

Srirangam Aranganathaswamy Temple was 330 acres in 1866 according to the British census. At present only 24 acres of land is in the possession of the temple. Residential shops have been built on the remaining lands. Some cases related to this land are pending in the court. Residents of the temple areas should voluntarily pay the rent, said Minister Sekarbabu.
