Former IPS officer Annamalai assumes charge as the state president of the Tamil Nadu BJP today at the Kamalalayam in Chennai.

The Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Modi has been reshuffled. Thus L. Murugan, who was the leader of the Tamil Nadu BJP, took charge as the Union Minister. Thus, the party issued an order giving the post of BJP leader to Annamalai.

Following this, the Sami Darshan in Coimbatore was welcomed by volunteers and administrators from Annamalai, Erode, Tiruppur, Namakkal, Trichy, Villupuram and Chengalpattu districts.

Thus he traveled to various districts of Annamalai like a pilgrim and arrived in Chennai yesterday.

In this context, Annamalai is formally assuming office as the Tamil Nadu BJP leader today at the BJP headquarters Kamalalayam in Chennai. The event will be attended by Union Minister L Murugan and many others, including former BJP leaders and executives.
