Former IPS officer Annamalai is the next BJP leader in Tamil Nadu....

It has been reported that former IPS officer Annamalai is to be appointed as the next BJP leader in Tamil Nadu following the appointment of L Murugan as the Union Minister.

The BJP, which won a landslide victory in the last parliamentary elections in 2019, has seized power for the second time in a row. The move to reshuffle the cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi came today, three years after the BJP came to power for the second time. Of these, 43 new ministers took office today following the resignation of old ministers.

Tamil Nadu leader L. Murugan also took charge as the Union Minister.

L. Murugan, who was appointed Tamil Nadu BJP leader in March last year, lost the last assembly election to Tirupur Tarapuram constituency by a narrow margin. Following this, he is currently the Union Minister in charge of Prime Minister Modi's cabinet expansion. L. Murugan, who has effectively completed all the tasks assigned to him by the party since his appointment as the Tamil Nadu BJP leader, has earned the goodwill of the party. He also played a key role in uniting many important personalities of the party as his Vail pilgrimage to Tamil Nadu became very popular.

His predecessor, Tamil Nadu BJP leader Tamizhai Soundararajan, was elected Governor of Telangana the same year after losing the 2019 parliamentary elections. He is currently the Deputy Governor of Pondicherry. In a way that no other party in India has done, the party has been honoring the incumbent BJP leaders in Tamil Nadu by giving them various top posts. It is said that Annamalai, a former IPS officer, is the most likely candidate for the post.

Annamalai, who hails from Karur district, served as an IPS officer in the state of Karnataka. He took various actions during his tenure and resigned in 2019. Following this, he returned to Tamil Nadu and joined the BJP last year. He was subsequently appointed BJP state vice-president, contesting the last assembly elections in Karur constituency and embracing defeat. However, he has a good reputation in the party for a short period of time, when the BJP was the coalition party in Tamil Nadu, he has been expressing strong opposition to the opposition.

And if the Coalition Party was in power before the election it would have had to do favorable politics. There was also the situation of not being able to run fast. But now the opposition is the ruling party in Tamil Nadu. This has forced the BJP to move forward with a faster politics. Thus the BJP is of the view that the Annamalai IPS would be the right choice for these tasks. He has been sharply critical of the opposition and has taken the statistics of the NEET election in the right light. Thus he is more likely to be appointed as the next BJP leader of Tamil Nadu as he has fast politics and forward politics of giving proper criticisms to the opposition.

But the Tamil Nadu BJP leader is not without competition. But it is said that the BJP does not take into account the senior leaders of the party like Ila Ganesan, H. Raja and Pon. Vanathi Srinivasan is already the MLA and women's team leader. Continuing MLA Nayyar Nagendran is the leader of the Assembly party. Thus, they are less likely to get the position of leader.

In this, Karu Nagarajan is already the General Secretary of the State, while KD Raghavan and SR Sehgar are in the same charge. Though the trio are vying for the chairmanship, it is said that Annamalai would be the right choice to pose a sharp challenge to the DMK and to lead the party in a cohesive manner. But the fact is that there is competition for this position. An official announcement is expected soon.
