For the first time in Wimbledon tennis, an event was held in which all players were Indians.

The Wimbledon Grand Slam tennis tournament is taking place in the UK. In the mixed doubles first round match, India's Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza played against another Indian pair of Ramkumar and Angita Raina. Experienced Bopanna - Sania Mirza pair won the set 6 - 2, 7 - 6.

Bethany Mattock and Sania Mirza of the United States advanced to the second round of the women's doubles. In the men's doubles, India's Bopanna and Divij Sharan had already lost in the first round.
