Controversial talk about split between BJP and Shiv Sena recently .. Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena senior leader Sanjay Raut has compared actor Aamir Khan to Kiran Rao, who recently announced the split between the BJP and Shiv Sena.

Actor Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao announced last Saturday that they have decided to be co-parents rather than husband-wife. Sanjay Raut compared the Shiv Sena-BJP relationship to this.

Commenting on this, Sanjay Raut said on Monday, "We (BJP-Shiv Sena) are not India-Pakistan. Look at Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. We are like them. They are different in political path. But the friendship will continue."

Earlier, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday that the BJP and Shiv Sena were not enemies.

Fatnawis further told reporters:

"There may be some differences with the Shiv Sena but we are not enemies. It must be remembered that the Shiv Sena faced the election hand in hand with us. Only then did it merge with the Congress and the Nationalist Congress."

Reacting to this, Sanjay Raut compared the BJP-Shiv Sena relationship with that of Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao.

Sanjay Raut's comment is seen as all the more significant as reports are emerging that there is a rift between the Shiv Sena, the Nationalist Congress Party and the Congress mega alliance in Maharashtra.

However, BJP state president Chandrakanth Patil has said that the Shiv Sena and the BJP alliance will not rule together again.

Commenting on Fatnavis' remarks, BJP state president Chandrakanth Patil said:

"The BJP and the Shiv Sena are not enemies. Devendra Fatnavis has said that it is 100 per cent true. That does not mean that we will rule hand in hand," he said.
