Federal Health Minister Manzuk Mandavia said the federal government was not covering up the deaths caused by the corona infection across the country.
During a debate in the state assembly on Tuesday, opposition leader Mallikarjuna Kokke accused the government of spreading false information that the Corona epidemic had so far claimed 4 lakh lives across the country. In response, Mansuk Mandavia spoke:
State governments record the details of corona victims and casualties. The states provide those details to the central government. The federal government only does the work of compiling and publishing them in bulk. The central government is not making any changes in it.
The federal government has not asked any state government to record the details of corona damage and casualties. There is no reason to cover up the details of the corona death. If so, the Congress leader should inform who he is blaming.
The federal government has not blamed any state government for failing to control the corona infection. Because, we are not politicizing the issue of corona prevention. Many states have 10-15 lakh corona vaccine doses. But those states are blaming the federal government for the vaccine shortage, said Manzuk Mandavia.
