A complaint has been lodged with the police against the mysterious persons who tried to attack the car of BJP state secretary Sumathi Venkatesh.

BJP Secretary State Sumathi Venkatesh was on her way to the BJP office with her daughter in a car near Avin Pal Booth in Avinash Pudi New Town, Chennai on the afternoon of the 19th when Secretary of State Sumathi Venkatesh's car was attacked by two unidentified persons. He also accused the BJP state president of insulting him and trying to tear down the party flag. He has lodged a complaint at J Nagar police station.

Based on the complaint, Manikandan from Padikuppam area and Bhupathi from Nawalur area were arrested and a case of attempted murder should be registered against them while the police are conducting an investigation.
