A further 3,867 people in Tamil Nadu have been diagnosed with corona infection today.

According to a press release issued by the state health department, 3,867 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the last 24 hours. The maximum number of cases was 445 in Coimbatore, 349 in Erode, 245 in Salem, 225 in Tirupur, 227 in Thanjavur and 222 in Chennai.

This brings the total number of victims to 24,96,287. A further 4,382 people have returned home from the Corona infection today. Since then, the number of survivors has risen to 24,27,988. According to the Department of Public Health, there are currently 35,294 people under medical supervision in hospitals and homes.

The death toll from the disease has risen to 33,005 across the state so far today, with 72 deaths due to corona infection. 1,56,330 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. Thus stated therein.
