As the demand for the removal of Eduyurappa from the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka has intensified, he himself has announced that he will continue as the Chief Minister for the next 2 years.
Minister Yogeshwar, BJP MLAs Arvind and Pasanaguda Ethanol have publicly demanded that Eduyurappa be removed from the post of Chief Minister for not properly handling the corona virus crisis in Karnataka.
It was reported that the BJP would appoint Prahlad Joshi as the Chief Minister to replace Eduyurappa.
In this context, Chief Minister Eduyurappa Hassan told reporters:
Special relief schemes have been announced and are being implemented for the people affected by the Corona hurricane in Karnataka.
We are taking serious measures to control the corona.
We have stepped up precautionary measures to deal with the Corona 3rd wave.
So the opposition should not confuse the people by giving false information.
Top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, have great faith in me.
BJP supremo Arun Singh has declared that he is with me in all circumstances.
So there is no room for talk of who the next chief minister will be. I myself will continue to be number one for the next 2 years.
I will take Karnataka on the path of development from the Chief Minister.
I will maintain the trust placed in me by the BJP leaders and the people.
I like to travel towards growth rather than discussing controversies.
BJP supremo Arun Singh has said that he will give me 100 per cent cooperation, which has given me elephant strength.
Thus said Edyurappa.
