The inauguration ceremony of the new cabinet with 5 ministers was held today (June 27) in Pondicherry. The Governor administered the oath of office to the new ministers.

The NRC-BJP alliance won the assembly elections in Pondicherry. 

NRC leader Rangasamy became the Chief Minister on May 7. After a long delay in the distribution of posts, Chief Minister Rangasamy submitted the cabinet list to the Governor Tamilisai on the 23rd. 

The Union Home Ministry yesterday (June 25) approved the appointment of Lakshminarayanan, Theni Jayakumar, Chandrapriyanka, BJP's Namachchivayam and Sai Saravanankumar as ministers from the NRC.

Accordingly, the inauguration ceremony was held today (June 27) at 2:30 pm on the platform set up in front of the Governor's House.

 The Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers. It is noteworthy that after 40 years, there is a woman in the Puducherry cabinet.
