The conduct of the NEET exam will definitely affect the safety of the students .... OPS....?

AIADMK co-ordinator O. Panneerselvam said that the conduct of the NEET examination would definitely jeopardize the safety of the students.

In a statement, he said: -

In the wake of the announcement by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India himself that the Class XII General Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Intermediate Education will be canceled, the Department of Education is shocked to hear that various states, including Tamil Nadu, have announced the cancellation of the Class XII General Examinations.

In a recent letter to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the Prime Minister of India, the Government of Tamil Nadu stated that the decision was based on the cancellation of the Class XII General Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education and the setting up of a committee to award marks to them. He had said that student admission in higher education would take place.

He said the decision was based on feedback from educators, teachers, parents and medical professionals, with the safety of students in mind.

Furthermore, the Hon'ble Chief Minister, who insisted that the Class XII General Examinations be canceled for the same reasons as the NEETs, and urged the students to cancel the entrance examinations such as NEED, sought admission on the basis of Class XII marks.

It is the firm position of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam that all entrance examinations for higher education, including NEET, should be canceled and student admission should be on the basis of Class XII marks.

I have also written letters to the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India emphasizing this.

It is a matter of great concern that the Department of Education has ordered the continuation of 'Need' training in this situation and that teachers have resumed the 'Need' examination training in government schools.

No one can disagree that the reason for the cancellation of the Class XII General Examination is applicable to the entrance examinations including 'Neet'. Given the high prevalence of coronavirus infection, with the Class XII General Examination being canceled, the conduct of the ‘Need’ examination will definitely jeopardize the safety of students.

Now there is a suspicion among the students that the Government of Tamil Nadu thinks that the 'Need' examination will be conducted by conducting 'Need' examination training in government schools. In this situation where many people are affected by the corona epidemic, the biggest question is whether the students from poor families who are able to train online are mentally fit and have the facilities to do so.

Facing entrance exams including ‘Neet’ in the current environment is a huge challenge for students, especially poor, simple students.

Therefore, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, they paid special attention to this, twelfth. I urge you to ensure that all higher education, including medical education, takes place on the basis of class marks, and not to confuse students by saying that it is a free ‘stretch’ training.
