Edappadi Palanisamy's statement that Sasikala was not in the AIADMK when he was the chief minister was not a big poison. Edappadiyar was interviewed in Delhi saying that he had nothing to do with the AIADMK even though Sasikala was released from jail before the election.

He also expelled from the party those who pasted posters in support of Sasikala. In this situation Sasikala became isolated from the political arena. But Sasikala Kai is moving to capture the AIADMK again as the election results are released. But it was expected that Edappadiyar, who lost his post, rule and power after the election, would act cautiously in the Sasikala affair.

But the fact that he has categorically stated that Sasikala Ammaiyar is not in the AIADMK shows the grip of Edappadiyar. Edappadi Palanisamy has reaffirmed his stance against Sasikala, realizing that the party is now under his control, even though he has dominated politics.
