Once again, the Orissa government has banned devotees from participating in the chariot procession this year ....

The Puri Jegannath Temple Chariot Pilgrimage in Orissa is world famous.

The chariot pilgrimage took place without devotees due to the first wave of Corona last year. This year's chariot procession takes place next month (July 12).

But the 2nd wave of the corona is spreading across the country. The infection is also very malignant in Odisha.

Therefore, for the second year in a row, the Orissa government has banned pilgrims from participating in the chariot procession this year as well.

In a statement, Odisha State Special Relief Commissioner Jena said, "The Jagannath chariot procession will be conducted as per the Supreme Court guidelines.

Celebrations are also banned in other parts of the state.

Curfew will be enforced in Puri during the chariot procession. Ratha Yatra will be telecast live on television. ”
