New generation Agni B missile test success ...

The new generation Agni B intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying nuclear weapons was successfully tested at 10:55 am today from Dr. ABJ Abdul Kalam Island near Balasore, Orissa.

The missile was monitored by various telecommunications and radar stations set up along the east coast. The missile traveled the orbit and reached the target very accurately. The test was carried out by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).

The Agni B missile is the next generation advanced type of Agni missile. 'This missile is capable of traveling a distance of 1000 to 2000 km.'
