Former minister Cellur K. Raju said it was doubtful that civil servants would vote for the DMK in the local elections because Stalin had not implemented the old pension scheme.
He told reporters in Madurai today:
"We are consulting with the administration not only on the local government elections but also on the development and future of the AIADMK. Of course AIADMK has given a lot of projects to Madurai. Those projects are still in progress. Due to that, the Madurai AIADMK will get more mayors and councilors.
The DMK government has made false promises. Stalin did not fulfill any of his promises, including a reduction in petrol and diesel prices, a Rs.1,000 fund for women, and the implementation of the old pension scheme for civil servants and teachers.
No action has been taken to pay regular salaries to Anganwadi, Nutrition and Grama Niladharis. Due to that, it is doubtful whether government employees, teachers and nutritionists will vote for the DMK this time.
The government must control the rising prices. Urgent action should be taken to vaccinate the public in Tamil Nadu. People flock to get vaccinated. It must be prevented. Action must be taken to vaccinate on a token basis. ”
This was stated by former minister Cellur Raju.
