International Plan Target under the 2030 ... Published by Finance Commission

 


Finance Commission has released the third edition of India's Sustainable Development Goals Index and Information Board 2020-21.

The code serves as an important tool for monitoring the performance of the Sustainable Development Goals in the country and promotes a competitive spirit between the States and the Union Territories.

Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice-Chairman, Finance Commission, released a report entitled 'India's Sustainable Development Goals Index and Information Board: 10 Year Action Partnership'.

‘Our effort to track the Sustainable Development Goals through India’s Sustainable Development Goals Index continues to be widely observed and appreciated around the world.

The move is a rare initiative based on data computing and ranking states and union territories on sustainable development goals.

We are confident that this will be a matter of choice and exemplary and a driving force for international monitoring activities, ”said Dr. Rajiv Kumar during the launch event.

With a third of the targets to be achieved by 2030, this version of the Index report is themed around the importance of partnership.

“This report reflects the strong partnership we have built during the process of setting sustainable development goals. The report highlights how integrated initiatives can have the greatest impact and have the greatest impact, ”said Amitabh Kant, Chairman and Executive Officer, Finance Commission.

The Finance Commission carries out two main functions of monitoring the pursuit of sustainable development goals in the country and promoting competitiveness, cooperation and joint action between the States and the Union Territories. The comprehensive outline of the international goals under the 2030 Plan and the national priorities are clearly outlined in this report.

The code serves as a forecast and policy tool for measuring the growth of states and union territories in extended goals, including health, education, gender, economic growth, institutions, climate change and the environment.
