Fake corona test results during Kumbh Mela in Uttarakhand...Government ordered inspection

The state government has ordered a serious probe into allegations that fake corona test results were given during the Kumbh Mela in Uttarakhand.

The popular Kumbh Mela was held from April 1 to 30 in Haridwar, Dehradun and Tehri in Uttarakhand.

Millions of devotees took part in this holy bath in the Ganges.

At that time, it was reported that a large number of people across Uttarakhand were suffering from corona infection.

 While the corona virus was spreading, allegations were leveled from various quarters against the central and state governments for allowing Kumbh Mela.

Subsequently, 24 private laboratories were hired to carry out corona testing in the Kumbh Mela area.

Of these, 14 laboratories were appointed on behalf of the district administration and 10 laboratories on behalf of the Kumbh Mela administration.

Millions of dollars were donated to laboratories for this.

Tests conducted by these labs concluded that thousands of people are infected with corona every day.

In this case, a person from Punjab who did not participate in Kumbh Mela received an SMS a few months ago.

The report, sent by a private laboratory in Haridwar, said, "Your samples have been collected for corona testing." But he has only recently seen this short story.

He later lodged a complaint with the Pharmaceutical Research Council of India (ICMR).

Initial investigations by the ICMR officer revealed that a large number of fake corona results had been released from that particular laboratory.

Following this, the Uttarakhand government has ordered a serious inquiry into the reports of not only the concerned laboratory but also other laboratories that tested for the corona virus during the Kumbh Mela.

A three-member committee has been set up for this purpose and they will submit their investigation report within 15 days.
