DMK's election manifesto has been accused of falsely campaigning that the price of petrol will be reduced by Rs 5 and that of diesel by Rs 4.

Talking to reporters today, Finance Minister PDR Palanivel Thiagarajan said, "Many are asking when will the tax on petrol and diesel be reduced? But at the moment there is no possibility of reducing the tax..!” said Tamil Nadu Finance Minister PDR Palanivel Thiagarajan.

 This has come as a blow to the common people and traders, who were expecting a reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel. People are very dissatisfied with the DMK regime's decision not to reduce the tax on petrol and diesel.
