Depression in the Bay of Bengal: No chance of rain in Tamil Nadu

Extends along the North Bay of Bengal and the Gulf and the coasts of nearby Odisha and West Bengal.

As part of a deep Depression over the next 48 hours, it is reported that it is likely to strengthen.

According to a press release issued by the, Chennai Meteorological Department, dry weather will prevail in most parts of Tamil Nadu for the next 5 days from today to the 16th due to low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. 

In a few inner districts, there is a chance of light rain in one or two places.

For Chennai, the sky will be partly cloudy today and tomorrow.
