Chief Minister Stalin declared a curfew to control the spread of corona in Tamil Nadu. But in this context, it is shocking that the DMK minister himself rallied more than 700 people in the name of providing welfare.
On the occasion of the birthday of the late Chief Minister Karunanidhi, a program to provide welfare assistance including rice and vegetables on behalf of the DMK was held at Karumandapath, Trichy yesterday morning. Urban Development Minister Nehru participated and provided welfare assistance. The event was attended by more than 500 members of the public and 200 DMK executives, for a total of over 700 people.
Event organizers insisted on following conditions such as social space and wearing a face mask, and people forgot about social space and went shopping when buying welfare assistance. As well as the fact that many of the DMK executives who attended there did not wear face masks and did not follow the social gap is very painful.
Stalin announced the curfew only because the corona was spreading more and more in public, but criticism that his party's minister and volunteers were not following it showed their value. Welfare programs may have gone door-to-door through the parties if welfare programs were to be provided. But with more than 700 people without social space, there is a risk of further corona spread.
