Saudi Arabia has banned foreigners from performing the Hajj pilgrimage to their country this year, citing the risk of corona spreading.
The country's officials said:
Considering the risk of corona, it has been decided to allow only 60,000 people who have been fully vaccinated against corona this year to make the Hajj pilgrimage.
Currently, only those in Saudi Arabia can perform the Hajj. Foreigners are not allowed.
Officials said only those between the ages of 18 and 65 would be allowed.
