In the context of the declining corona second wave across the country, the number of recurrences has begun to increase only in a few districts.
In this context, Prime Minister Modi held a video conference with the Chief Ministers of the Southern States of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha at 11 am today.
In this consultation, Prime Minister Modi said,
Over the past few days, 80 percent of all cases have been reported from 6 states. The most affected states should take steps to prevent the corona third wave. Examination, treatment, and vaccination should be expedited.
The central government has allocated Rs. 23,000 crore has been set aside. The funds will be used to strengthen public health and medical infrastructure in the states. At the same time, he said, the countryside should also be monitored.
