In seven European and EU member states, and in Switzerland, Indian travelers who have been vaccinated with the Covshield by the Serum Institute of India are allowed.
Accordingly, seven EU countries, namely Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Greece, Iceland, Ireland and Spain, have approved the travel of Indians vaccinated against cochlear implants.
Those going to Estonia must pay for a vaccine approved by the Government of India.
The federal government has asked EU member states to recognize the vaccination certificates issued by the Indian government and exempt those vaccinated from isolation.
A structure called the EU-Digital Govt Certificate has been developed to allow vaccinated persons to enter the EU without isolation.
It states that individuals can be exempted from travel restrictions within the EU by paying for corona vaccines approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
Vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) are also accepted in individual EU member states.
Earlier, the federal government had warned that all European travelers to India would be isolated if they did not accept the Cow Shield vaccine.
