National Physicians Day was celebrated in Pondicherry on Thursday. Deputy Governor Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan presented awards to the doctors at the function.

Deputy Governor Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan participated in the function held on behalf of the Department of Health at the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College Hospital, Kataragama, Pondicherry and presented awards to the doctors who have rendered outstanding service during the corona epidemic.

The Governor advised that doctors should take care of their body along with their service work which will be beneficial to them and this society.

The governor planted saplings ahead of Doctor's Day.

The function was attended by Health Secretary Arun, Health Director Mohan Kumar, Medical College Director Udayakumar and many doctors.
