Complaint that the boy was beaten to death in Pattukottai ... Skeleton excavation...!

The skeleton was found while digging by a Bokline machine in the presence of authorities on Monday, based on a complaint that the boy had been beaten to death at a mental hospital near Pattukkottai.

Aviso Mental Retardation Center is located on the shores of Adirampattinam Lake near Pattukottai in Thanjavur District. More than 20 mentally retarded boys and girls are staying in this archive.

The archive is maintained by Mohammed Sheikh Abdullah. His wife, Kalima Beevi, had lodged a complaint with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, alleging that a 15-year-old boy had been beaten to death by Mohammed Sheikh Abdullah in the archives a few months ago.

Pattukottai Deputy Superintendent of Police Pukahendi Ganesh, Governor Tharanika, District Child Welfare Officer Natarajan and Revenue officials were present at the scene.

The skeleton and skull were then excavated by a Bokline machine at the site shown by Kalima Beavis. The skeleton was subsequently handed over to health officials for testing.

Also, police are continuing to investigate Mohammed Sheikh Abdullah and his associates.
