Rengasamy passed away in 2017. Following this, Kanagaraj informed the bank management that he would repay the loan taken by his father. Earlier this month Kanagaraj went to withdraw money from his account in the same bank as he had to go for a medical examination in connection with kidney treatment.

Then, he was shocked to find that his account had been disabled, making it impossible to withdraw money. Kanagaraj, who was admitted to the hospital, died on the heels of yesterday (June 25) while the disabled account was not released.

Asking permission to withdraw Rs 75,000 from his bank account for Kanagaraj's medical expenses, the bank management refused to accept it as an inhumane act. This needs to be investigated!

Crop loans received by farmers in public sector banks should be waived as per the long standing demand of the farmers. Rs 50 lakh compensation should be given to the family of the deceased farmer Kanagaraj. ”
